Year 1 have enjoyed their art lesson this week. The children have been exploring how different brush sizes create different marks and learning how to choose the best brush for the effect they wanted to achieve. They described their brushstrokes and experimented with a range of painting techniques. 

We transformed our classroom by moving the tables aside and unrolling large sheets of paper, allowing the children to create impressive cave drawings inspired by Cave Baby, our current English text. The finished artwork looked fantastic and the children had great fun becoming cave artists for the day!
