  • Church Poppy Display

Year 6 have been busy creating a beautiful and meaningful poppy display for St John the Baptist Church in preparation for this year's Remembrance Service. They were joined by children from EYFS and Year 5, who also helped to create some of the poppies.

Year 6 showed great creativity, using a range of materials including card, paper, fabrics, tissue paper and wire to make their individual poppies. Once complete, the poppies were carefully attached to a camouflage net to create a striking piece of collaborative artwork.

The finished display has now been installed in the church, where it will form part of the preparations for the Remembrance Service. We are incredibly proud of the children's efforts and the thought and care they have put into creating something so special for our local community.

Families are warmly invited to visit the church to see the finished display. There will also be a Remembrance Service held at St John the Baptist Church on Sunday 8th November, and everyone is welcome to attend.

A huge well done and thank you to all the children who contributed to this special project. We hope their poppies will help us all to take a moment to remember.
